Home > Mount kits Mounts are sometimes included with a TV, but on the whole are sold separately. They allow you to mount a TV to a wall. You will need to make sure that your screen can be wall mounted, because not all screens can be, even if they are slimline. The mounting will require a solid, stone or brick wall and not above a radiator or similar heat sources. With a mount you can pull your a television up to a typical distance of 60 cm from a wall. Depending on the mount, they can allow you to alter the viewing angle degree from left of right. A superior mount will also offer the ability to tilt up and down, by adjusting with varying degrees. Most manufacturers are not responsible for any damage to a product, or injury from a falling television with a faulty mount. Therefore it's extremely important that you buy a mount which is sturdy, reliable and lasts decades without fault. Your warranty will be void if a TV falls from a faulty mount. And if you have small children and pets a faulty mount can pose a serious safety hazard. There is a "Flat Display Mounting Interface" (FDMI) standard to make sure your mount meets the proper regulations.
